  • 10 Remarkable Weeks: A fast-tracked, intensive program designed to catapult you into your new career.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Classes convene once a week, on Fridays, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, accommodating your unique needs and schedule.
  • Hands-on Experience: Dive deep into real-world dental assisting practices with engaging laboratory and operatory exercises.

Admission Criteria

Our doors are open to passionate individuals ready to soar. Here are the only requirements:

  • Age: students should be over 18 years of age.
  • Educational Qualifications: a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Career-Ready Certifications

Graduate with a prestigious certificate enabling you to apply to the California Board of Dentistry after gaining work experience as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), marking a monumental step in your career trajectory.

Along with your DANB (Dental Assisting National Board] radiology, Dental Practice Act, Infectious Control, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates.

Dental Assisting

Course Outline

• WEEK 01 •

General introduction to the exciting field of Dentistry, including your orientation to our clinic and dental terminology.

• WEEK 02 •

Four-handed dentistry, instrumental transfer, isolation techniques, suctioning (HVE), local anesthesia, patient positioning, handpiece maintenance, sealants and coronal polishing.

• WEEK 03 •

Radiology theory and practice of intraoral and extraoral X-ray techniques, X-ray safety, darkroom procedures.

• WEEK 04 •

Amalgam and composite materials, instruments, mixing, curing, tubs, trays.

• WEEK 05 •

Cements and liners, alginate impressions (upper arch), model pouring and trimming, X-ray quiz. CPR Training.

• WEEK 06 •

Midterm exam. Oral surgery, periodontal instruments and materials, sterilization procedures, alginate impressions (lower arch).

• WEEK 07 •

Crown and bridge instruments and materials, making temporary restorations, bite registration.

• WEEK 08 •

Endodontic materials and instruments, orthodontics, job interview skills.

• WEEK 9•

Meet The Team

Dr. Elena Shabani, School Director | Instructor 

Dt Christensen HSu, in a white coat, is sitting in a chair in front of flowers.

Since 2015, Dr Shabani has been providing amazing care and bringing smiles to all her patients. She

began her education at University of California Irvine where she earned her undergraduate degree. Dr

Shabani moved onto her master’s degree at Boston University school of Medicine where she obtained a

Master in Oral Health. Shortly after, she obtained her DDS degree from New York University College of

Dentistry. She now practices in her private office in La Crescenta, CA providing conservative dental

treatment for her patients. Dr Shabani is certified in Invisalign, Clear Correct, Implant dentistry,

Cosmetic dentistry, and sleep apnea treatment. Dr Shabani is a big advocate of oral health and

preventive dentistry and continues to thrive and enhance her education by taking advanced education

courses and introducing the latest technology for her patients.

Rebecca Miranda  | Instructor   


Yvonne, our instructor and externship coordinator is smiling for the camera in front of a bush.

Rebecca started her career in the dental field more than 10 years ago, starting off as dental assistant

and over the years has moved into the front office as a treatment coordinator and office manager.

Graduating dental assisting school from Everest College in 2012, she learned quickly that educating

others in oral health and preventative dentistry was something of a top priority. Furthering her

education, she obtained an Associated in Arts of Natural Sciences from Pasadena City College and a

Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Los Angeles Pacific University. Rebecca is knowledgeable in

dental terminology, dental insurance, billing and coding, treatment presentation and office

management. She takes pride in her work and her ability to help others achieve a healthy smile.

Teni Akbari DA  | Instructor


Tomas, OPDA admissions Officer is smiling for the camera.

Having worked in both the United States and Iran, Teni is a well educated and experienced dental

assistant. She began her dental assisting career in Iran, where she learned the ins and outs of assisting in

a general practice as well as a surgical setting. In 2015, Teni moved to the United States and was eager

to return to work and help others in their oral health, so she obtained her Dental Assisting Certificate at

NorthWest College in 2016 and graduated with honors. Since then, she has worked in multiple offices,

learned new technology and new skills from impressions, bleaching, Itero Scans, Invisalign and much

more. Teni is an outstanding dental assistant and has furthered her career by adapting management

skills by supervising and training other dental assistants. Teni takes delight in knowing her background

and education influences her ability to provide great care to her patients.

Dr Stella Baghdasarian DDS 


Dr Stella Baghdasarian has dedicated more than 30 years to her patients to provide excellent and comfortable care to her patients. Dr Baghdasarian obtained her BA in Biology from California State University, Northridge and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from USC. Dr Baghdasarian enjoys providing proper oral care and educating her patient in their dental needs.
